kiryuyrik is a Japanese domestic brand founded on the principle of "functional beauty."

After graduating from Bunka Fashion College, designer Masakatsu Takayanagi spent seven years at Yohji Yamamoto, working in planning and patternmaking. With a solid foundation in professional patternmaking, he pursues a design philosophy where "visual aesthetics" and "functionality" coexist.

With a meticulous approach to every detail—from material selection and silhouettes to final accents—the brand achieves a harmony between wearing comfort and a refined appearance. Eschewing set seasonal themes, the brand is characterized by its style of expressing the sensibilities of the moment in their most ideal form.

The brand uses the motif of a "butterfly dancing in the sky" as its symbol.

It embodies a worldview that is both elegant and bewitching.
